Parents can learn about EXPLORE, PLAN tests

All Hamilton High School freshmen took the EXPLORE test and sophomores took the PLAN test during December. Parents of these students are invited to attend a brief interpretation session March 13 – the same evening as parent-teacher conferences – to learn about the tests.

An EXPLORE interpretation session will be held beginning at 4:30 p.m. followed by the PLAN interpretation session which is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. The sessions will be in the District Conference Room at Hamilton High School, W220 N6151 Town Line Road in Sussex.

EXPLORE and PLAN assess students in the content areas of English, mathematics, reading and science. Results from the tests help to identify individual academic strengths and areas that need improvement; and give information that may help in setting career goals and planning for college. EXPLORE test results provide an estimated PLAN composite score, and PLAN results provide an estimated ACT composite score.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend this informational meeting. Students will receive information about their test results during an advisement period. For more information, please contact high school guidance counselor Bill Drogemuller at (262) 246-6476 x1135.
