Temple staff take 47 students to Washington, D.C.

Nearly four dozen Templeton Middle School students toured the nation’s capital Oct. 25-28 under the supervision of their teachers. A total of 47 seventh- and eighth-graders toured Washington D.C.’s famous attractions including the Smithsonian museums, President Washington’s Mount Vernon home, the Holocaust Museum, International Spy Museum, National Zoo and National Cathedral. They endured inclement weather to experience the changing of the guard at Arlington Cemetery. The group visited the memorials of Lincoln, FDR, the Vietnam and Korean Wars and World War II by moonlight.

Teachers who chaperoned the trip were John Plese, Bob Blessington, Alan Schneider, Karen Zielinski, Rebecca Tomsovic and Rhonda Watton.
