The Hamilton High School Drama Department will perform the musical “The Music Man” May 3-5 at 7 p.m. and May 6 at 2 p.m.
“The Music Man” tells the story of traveling salesman, Harold Hill, and his visit to a small Iowa town where he meets and falls in love with the willful librarian, Marian Paroo. With his fast-talking style, “Professor” Harold Hill convinces the town that unless they adopt his revolutionary music program, the youngsters of River City will be forever doomed. He gets the parents to buy instruments and expensive uniforms to form a band, but chaos ensues when his credentials are questioned and he is called upon to prove himself to the citizens of River City.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Charger Activity Passes are suspended for this production. The Sunday matinee performance offers a special family promotion in which two adults and up to four children will be admitted for $20. Please call the Drama Department voicemail at (262) 246-6471 extension 1552 to leave an order for tickets that may be picked up the day of the performance.
