The Wisconsin State Reading Association (WSRA) presented Hamilton School District Instructional Supervisor Margaret Bauman, Ph.D., with its Outstanding Administrator Award. The award was given Feb. 8 at the WSRA convention at the Midwest Airlines Center in Milwaukee.
Bauman, chosen from the Waukesha Council, was identified as possessing the leadership qualities that promote excellence in reading among students, parents, community members and others in the education profession.
Hamilton staff members, a parent and school board member nominated Bauman for the award noting her knowledge about current research and practices in the field of reading. Her nominators indicated that she is an outstanding role model for other administrators, parents, students and teachers. They also said her leadership has supported reading in the home, school and community.
