Get Connected offers talk on turning kids around

National speaker Ron Glodoski will present Nov. 14 beginning at 7 p.m. on “The Real Deal on Turning Kids Around.” His presentation — sponsored by the Get Connected Parent Network — will be in the Hamilton Fine Arts Center, W220 N6151 Town Line Rd., Sussex.

Glodoski is a national expert on bullying, resiliency and substance abuse. He is author of “How to be a Successful Criminal: The Real Deal on Crime, Drugs and Easy Money.” Powerful and hard-hitting, Glodoski’s compelling presentations provide his audience a unique opportunity to see the world through the eyes of youth. In addition to parents and community members, middle and high school students are invited to attend. Free childcare is available for younger children.

The Get Connected Parent Network is supported by United Way of Waukesha County and is designed to help parents navigate children through their school years by providing:

  • age-appropriate information;
  • networking with other parents;
  • presentations from professionals; and
  • guidance and support.
