Woodside Elementary School students will celebrate science Feb. 10 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with their annual all-school Science Fair.
Each grade level is involved.
- Kindergarteners and first-graders will display posters on the seasons and animals.
- Second-graders will exhibit their models of the planets.
- Third-graders will share an investigation, invention or a demonstration.
- Fourth- and fifth-grade participants will display and tell about their recent investigations. Among the topics are: “How much salt does it take to float an egg in water?” “Which hot wheel car will travel the furthest?” and “Which brand of popcorn pops the most kernels?”
In each of their investigations, the young scientists will use the “Scientific Method” of PHEOC — problem, hypothesis, experiment, observation and conclusion.
Woodside Elementary School is located at W236 N7465 Woodside Rd., Sussex.
