Hamilton High School students from six different school and community groups contributed more than 200 hours as volunteers to help the school district implement its community survey. The Hamilton School District conducted a random sample telephone survey last month to learn about the perceptions of community members. Students made the calls and interviewed community members about their opinions. Students completed a total 536 surveys, each last about 12 minutes long. Results of the survey are being analyzed and will be reported in March.
Groups that participated included the community-based LEO Club and Hamilton High School groups ranging from National Honor Society and the Boys Football Team, to Chargerettes, the Pep Club, Student Council and students in statistics and business education classes.
