For their first drama performance in the new Hamilton Fine Arts Center, Hamilton High School students will present “The Cinderella Complex.” Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 4, 5 and 6. Ticket prices are $5 for students and senior citizens and $8 for adults.
The Cinderella in this comedy is a compulsive martyr who’d love to have the whole world weep and say “Poor Cinderella” as she spoils life for her family. Her stepmother buys her a Paris gown for the ball, her stepsisters line her up an intriguing date, but Cinderella prefers to suffer. A wise, witty performance, this show is a fun-filled evening for all ages.
For tickets, call (262) 246-6471 ext. 1152 and leave name, telephone number and number of tickets needed. The drama department will verify ticket orders with a return call. Tickets may be picked up at the window the night of the show and held 20 minutes before curtain.
The Hamilton Fine Arts Center is located at W220 N6151 Town Line Rd. Sussex. Voters approved the $6.75 million Hamilton Fine Arts Center addition in a November, 2002 referendum. The new auditorium is three times the size of the high school’s Little Theater that has served the school since its original construction in 1962. The 35,000-square-foot addition includes new music rooms, a full-fly stage, orchestra pit for live musical accompaniment, ticket booth, dressing rooms, restrooms and costume-prop storage. In addition, parking was extended and a new exterior canopy was built.
