Templeton Student Council shines at state conference

Templeton Middle School Student Council (TMSSC) experienced success at the recent Wisconsin Association of School Councils (WASC) State Competition held April 6 in Madison. The team competed in six categories: Best Project, Standards of Excellence, Scrapbook, Button, Banner, On-Demand Writing and On-Demand Speaking and emerged victorious with gold medals in each one.

The team’s success highlights not only the exceptional work of the TMSSC members but also the profound impact their projects have had within the community. From thought-provoking, creative ideas to outstanding leadership, the TMSSC members demonstrated the importance of youth leadership and service. Their gold medal results demonstrate the dedication and passion they bring to every project and event.

In addition to the students’ success, Templeton Middle School Associate Principal Cody Leland was honored as Administrator of the Year. Leland’s unwavering support of the TMSSC members and their initiatives has been instrumental in the group’s continued success. His leadership has had a lasting impact on both the students and the broader school community.

TMSSC Advisor, Dr. Mary Caucutt, expressed immense pride in the team’s accomplishments. “I am so incredibly proud of the hard work, creativity and dedication our members have shown in preparing for this competition,” she said. “Their success reflects the incredible impact of their community service and their dedication to making a difference. It is also truly wonderful to see Mr. Leland recognized for his outstanding leadership and support.”
