Parent pick up dismissal changes

Dear Lannon Families,

I am reaching out to share information about a new traffic pattern for our parent pick-up procedures. These changes need to be made due to ongoing construction and will take effect at the end of the school day Tuesday, January 21.

Parent pick up will now occur at the awning on the front (north side) of the building. Students will exit out the front doors and walk to waiting vehicles. Meanwhile buses will pick up students in the back (south side) of the building.

Please note the school parking lot is no longer available prior to 3:50 p.m. as we need the space for staff, volunteer and construction parking. Early pickup must be completed by 3:30 p.m. at the latest in order to keep our parking lot clear and allow office staff to focus on dismissal.

If you pick your child up from school, please take time to review the image below. Families will continue to use the same entrance and exit to Lannon Road. Parents will no longer be able to turn around in the back of the school building. Instead, there will be one large loop for traffic in front of the school building.

Due to limited space, we are also staggering pick up times based on student last names.

If your child’s last name begins A – L please arrive for pick up no earlier than 3:50 p.m.

If your child’s last name begins M – Z please arrive for pick up no earlier than 4:00 p.m.

dismissal - pm pick up. enter the lannon campus at the north entrance off lannon rd. at 3:50 p.m. the parking lot is not available prior to 3:50 p.m. as we need this space for staff, volunteer and construction parking. parent pick up will now occur at the awning at the front of the building.

Thank you for your patience as we work to keep the safety of our school community the top priority during this exciting construction. We will continue working with law enforcement and construction crews to make additional changes if necessary and then clearly communicate those with our families.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Sincerely,

Brian Balfany
Principal
