What can Special Services staff help with?
Special Services staff members are often the first step in supporting a student. Because every student’s situation is unique, we work closely with both students and their families to create a plan and connect them with additional community resources if necessary.
How do students know who their counselor is?
Please contact your child’s school office if you have questions or need contact information.
- Students at Hamilton High School are assigned counselors based on their last name. HHS students stay with their counselor throughout all four years of high school.
- Students at Silver Spring Intermediate School and Templeton Middle School are assigned counselors based on their grade level.
- Each elementary school has one school counselor.
How can students request a meeting with Special Services staff?
Students and families can request individual meetings by directly reaching out to their school counselor. If it is an emergency, students are welcome to visit the student services office or main school office.
