Student plans fundraiser on Lannon’s last day of school

A compassionate and resourceful fourth-grader at Lannon Elementary School has come up with a unique fundraiser to fight cancer. Ella Schumacher has been working with Lannon school counselor Lynda Pesch and fitness education teacher Daniel Howard to organize a fun way for students to contribute to a good cause.

For every dollar students contribute, they will be given a one-foot strip of duct tape which will be used to attempt to stick Mr. Howard to the wall. All proceeds will go the American Cancer Society.

The event, open only to students, will be held outside June 8 at 9:30 a.m. on Lannon school grounds at 7145 N. Lannon Rd., Lannon.
