2021-2022 State Assessment Requirements and Hamilton High School Dates

Fastbridge Reading and Math Screener

  • Point person – M. Seligman.
  • Administered three times a year.
  • For Grade 9.
  • Computers used.
  • Test date – Oct., Jan, and April. Exact dates will be set by District C & I Team.
  • Purpose – to identify students that qualify for RTI interventions, are struggling and to gather baseline data for classes. This test replaced MAP.

PSAT

  • Point person – K. Hasbrook.
  • Administered one time a year.
  • For Grade 10 and Grade 11.
  • Computers not used.
  • Test date – October 13, 2021.
  • Purpose – optional as a practice for the actual SAT. Necessary for juniors to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Practice ACT

  • Point person – D. Johnson
  • Administered one time a year.
  • For Grade 11.
  • Computers not used.
  • Test date – November 3, 2021.
  • Purpose – to prep juniors for the actual ACT in the spring.

ACT

  • Point person – H. Geracie
  • Administered one time a year.
  • For Grade 11.
  • Computers not used.
  • Test date – March 8, 2022.
  • Purpose – required by the state for the school to administer an ACT to every junior and cover the fee. Students will be able to use this score for college admission if they choose.

Forward

  • Point person – K. Hasbrook
  • Administered one time a year.
  • For Grade 10.
  • Computers used.
  • Test date – April 6, 2022.
  • Purpose – state required assessment for social studies. Mandatory for all sophomore students. Test will run first block and advisement.

Aspire

  • Point person – D. Johnson
  • Administered one time a year.
  • For Grade 10 and Grade 11.
  • Computers used.
  • Test dates – April 26-28, 2022.
  • Purpose and description – state required. Pre-ACT; preps students for the actual ACT. Covers five subjects. Test will be administered over three days. This year the school will again use the two hour delay schedule for upper classman on the days of testing.

AP Testing

  • Point person – H. Geracie
  • Administered one time a year.
  • For Grade 10, Grade 11 and Grade 12.
  • Computers not used.
  • Test dates – May 2-13, 2022.
  • Purpose – to asses what students learned in their AP classes as well as give them the opportunity to score well enough to earn college credit.

ACCESS

  • Point person – J. Kapatanovic
  • Administered one time a year.
  • For all ELs.
  • Computers used.
  • Test dates – February 22 through April 30, 2022.
  • Purpose – to asses EL students on four different areas of language acquisition.
