Qualifications: Experience in coaching softball. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents and community; organized; leadership and supervision experience, organized and self motivated with the ability to motivate others.

Position Goal: Work to achieve and maintain standards of excellence in the sport/activities program, while allowing all participants to derive greatest personal gain through individual and team experiences.

Paraprofessional – Special Services, Woodside Elementary School, 2018-19 School Year, 5.50 hrs/day

Qualifications: Knowledge of and the ability to assist in the instruction of reading, mathematics and writing instruction; successful experience working with students with disabilities; working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges preferred; must have strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; certification (or certifiable) by DPI as a Special Education Program Aide; Two years of study at an institution of higher education, an associate’s degree (or higher), or high school  graduation and such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education finds appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal: To assist the teacher or other certified personnel in achieving teaching objectives by working with students with special education needs in special education classroom and/or small group settings. Other responsibilities include support students with special needs in the general education classroom, facilitate effective communication between the special and general education teaching staff, and assist students with special needs with medical and/or daily living needs.

Qualifications: Two years of study at an institution of higher education, an associate’s degree (or higher), or high school graduation and knowledge of and the ability to assist in the instruction of reading, writing and mathematics; successful work experience in working with young children, special education students preferred; experience working with students with self-regulation, social-emotional, and behavioral needs preferred, but not required. Will assist students with disabilities in both the general and special education classrooms and communicate needs of the students back to the teaching staff; certification (or certifiable) by DPI as a Special Education Program Aide; and such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education finds appropriate and acceptable.
