Paraprofessional – Clerical Guidance, Templeton Middle School, 7.5 hours/day, 5 days/week

Qualifications: Must possess strong communication and organizational skills; ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet computer software programs; maintain accurate records; be professional and enthusiastic when working with staff, community members and students; willingness to upgrade technical skills as needed; ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student information; and work independently but cooperatively as part of a team.

Position Goal: Clerical aide for the guidance office. Assist with general office work, assist with maintaining and transferring student records. Positively interact with students who come to the guidance office and assist them to connect with a student service staff member. Prioritize student needs and alert student service staff or administration when urgent issue arise. Must be able to maintain a calm, reassuring and flexible approach in all interactions with emotional students and when supervising students. Other related functions; help maintain daily, weekly, and monthly school student attendance data as assigned; compile student academic progress, prepare student records, instructional materials, organize and communicate school correspondences with families, student supervision and other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee.

Paraprofessional – Clerical & Student Supervisor, Hamilton High School, M-F 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. & Some Saturdays 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Qualifications: Two years of study at an institution of higher education, an associate’s degree (or higher), or high school graduation and the ability to maintain discipline and control in a contained environment while working with a diverse student population.  Direct students in hallways, open areas, and entrances; directs activities in classroom on an as-needed basis; assists administrative assistants with clerical duties as assigned; such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education finds appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal: To independently, or in conjunction with certified personnel, provide an atmosphere conducive to educational excellence, as determined by the administration.

Position Goal: Work to achieve and maintain standards of excellence in the sport/activities program, while allowing all participants to derive greatest personal gain through individual and team experiences.

Details:

  • One coach needed for 7th and 8th grade girls and boys track
  • Pay is $1382.85
  • Season is from April 1-May 23
  • Practices are from 2:45-4:30
  • Meet usually last until 6:00-6:30

Experience in general office work to include: ability to use word processing/ computer/office equipment effectively and accurately; ability to use a variety of software related to document production, student attendance and student records; ability to maintain accurate records; and demonstrate strong problem solving, organizational and multi-task oriented skills; and such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education finds appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal: To assist the school administrator/administrative assistant and school staff with all aspects of the elementary school office.

Position Goal: To assist the special education teacher with working students with medical and daily living skills. Responsibilities assisting with toileting, transferring students from wheelchairs to standers, and supporting other life skill needs of the special education students. Other responsibilities include support students with special needs in the general education classroom, facilitate effective communication between the special and general education teaching staff, and assist students with special needs with medical and/or daily living needs.

Administrative Assistant, Silver Spring Intermediate School, 1.0 FTE

Qualifications: Strong organizational skills; the ability to communicate with staff, students and parents; the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, parents and the public; experience in the use of computer technology including word processing, databases, spreadsheets; the ability to establish appropriate priorities and carry out tasks in a timely and organized fashion.  Work as part of a team. Previous experience as a secretary in a school setting preferred.

Position Goal: Maintain accurate record-keeping, perform secretarial/clerical duties using individual judgment and initiative; contribute to a positive climate by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with parents and staff; interact with the public; such other alternatives as determined by the Board of Education.

Will assist students with disabilities in both the general and special education classrooms and communicate needs of the students back to the teaching staff; certification (or certifiable) by DPI as a Special Education Program Aide; and such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education finds appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal: To assist the teacher or other certified personnel in achieving teaching objectives by working with students with special education needs in special education classroom and/or small group settings. Other responsibilities include support students with special needs in the general education classroom, facilitate effective communication between the special and general education teaching staff, and assist students with special needs with medical and/or daily living needs.
