Custodial Staff

To apply for a custodial staff position:

Available positions:

Custodian I, p.m. 8 hours/day – Three positions available (Hamilton School District)

Qualifications: Graduation from high school, experience in performing routine cleaning work, working knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in custodial work, ability to perform manual tasks (able to lift 80 pounds from floor to chest height); keep records and make reports; understands and independently follows oral and written instructions and such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education finds appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal: To perform general cleaning, housekeeping and to perform related work as required and directed to operate and maintain the building in an orderly manner.

Custodian/Night Foreman, Hamilton School District

Qualifications: Graduation from high school, post high school training preferred and/or two or more years of custodial work; ability to supervise others; ability to perform manual tasks requiring average physical strength – lift 80 pounds from floor to chest height; experience in repair and maintenance work, including the use of a computer and building operating software; experience in the operation of mechanical facilities and equipment; considerable knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and materials used in general maintenance, repair, and custodial work; ability to read, interpret, and work from plans, involving drawings, and sketches; must hold and maintain a valid State of Wisconsin certified commercial pesticide applicator license; ability to prepare and implement a budget; and such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education finds appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal: To supervise others; computer skills related to building monitoring software; knowledge of and ability to maintain appropriate records; and establishing and maintaining effective relationships with students, staff and the general public.

Head Custodian, Hamilton School District

Position Goal: To oversee assigned staff and perform a combination of duties in connection with the maintenance and cleaning of buildings, equipment and furniture.
