Welcome to the Hamilton School District! The enrollment and registration process are the first steps in what we hope will be a great experience for you and your children.
New student enrollment process
If you move into our school district you may enroll your child at any time by completing the following steps.
Step 1 – Online registration
Click on the Online School Registration icon on the left to start the process. If you have questions or need assistance completing the online registration process, please contact your child’s new school.
Step 2 – Verification of residency and date of birth
Once your online registration application is submitted, please make an appointment with your child’s new school to submit the following required documents:
- two documents with proof of residency;
- child’s original birth certificate – federal law requires that information must be recorded from an original birth certificate so copies cannot be accepted;
- child’s immunization records; and
- transcript from current high school if grades 9-12.
Students who transfer into the school district will be accepted at the grade level recommended by the school of previous enrollment unless another assignment is determined to be in the best interest of the child. Official school records from previously attended school districts will be requested by your new school.
4- and 5- year-old kindergarten
There are several kindergarten options for 4- and 5-year-olds. An optional half-day 4K program is offered at Willow Springs Learning Center and a full-day K5 program is at each of the neighborhood elementary schools in the district. Children must turn four or five years old, respectively, by Sept. 1 to participate in the 4K or 5K programs.
Kindergarten registration for 4- and 5-year-olds opens in late January for the following fall. Families may register any time after Jan. 15 for September enrollment. Parents of 5-year-old kindergartners should follow steps 1 and 2 above. Parents of 4-year-old kindergartners should complete online registration and then set-up an appointment with Willow Springs Learning Center between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on school days.
If you are unsure about the school your child will attend, please review the district map which shows attendance boundaries. Once your enrollment is completed, the school will make arrangements for your first day of school.

Infinite Campus parent portal, school fees
After your registration is complete, you will receive an enrollment confirmation via email. This email will also include instructions on how to log in to your parent portal account to verify contact information, pay fees, view teachers and schedules, and add money to your child’s lunch account. For assistance with logging in or gaining access to the parent portal, please contact your child’s school. School fees are assigned every August for the upcoming school year or as students enroll, if mid-year.
Wisconsin law requires that parents provide updated records on their children’s immunizations including DTP, MMR and polio. The Hepatitis B (Hep B) and chicken pox (varicella) vaccines are required for all students pre-kindergarten through 12th grades.
