Templeton Middle School was ranked 28th among 562 Wisconsin public middle schools in the first-ever published listing of U.S. News & World Report’s best middle schools. Its rank places Templeton in the top 5% of Wisconsin middle schools.
The list highlights the best public middle schools in Wisconsin after reviewing performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well students are prepared for high school. Schools were rated on reading and mathematics proficiency and performance along with other socioeconomic factors. Test data is based on the 2018-19 school year.
Templeton Principal Brad Hoffmann credits several factors that contribute to the success of the school where staff build strong connections with students and a positive culture exists among students and staff.
“Our school continues to grow, reflect and improve every year,” Hoffmann said. “Templeton staff believe that all students can learn at high levels and we have a high level of positive parent involvement.”
He also noted that the staff members are committed to continuous improvement and create lessons that have real-world connections for students.
Templeton serves students in grade 7 and 8, and is located at N59 W22490 Silver Spring Dr., Sussex.
