Hamilton grad takes first at SkillsUSA national competition

Hamilton High School 2020 Graduate Evrett Rachow, a former Tool and Die Dual Enrollment Academy student, along with two of his Waukesha County Technical College classmates, took first place this summer in the SKillsUSA National Skills and Leadership Competition. The field-specific contests require students to show their knowledge and skills in a particular area through demonstration, project or examination. Rachow and his classmates also placed first in the SkillsUSA state competition held in April.

The Dual Enrollment Academy helps ease the transition from high school to postsecondary education, providing insight into college academics and a jump-start on apprenticeship programs. This initiative also gives business and industry access to a pipeline of new, well-trained talent.
