Hamilton High School junior Sarah Liedtke was selected regional finalist in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Dean’s List Award competition. Liedtke will travel to St. Louis in April to compete with other regional finalists to earn one of 10 international awards.
Dean’s List Award-winners are awarded trophies and public recognition at the FIRST Championship. In addition, they receive written recommendation from FIRST leadership to the colleges or employers of their choice, credit toward their team’s next season registration fee, school plaque, invitation to attend an expense-paid Dean’s List Award Summit in New Hampshire and the opportunity to work with Dean’s List members and leaders to advance FIRST’s alumni mission.
Dean’s List recipients exemplify outstanding student leaders who are passionate and effective in attaining FIRST ideals. They are examples of students who have motivated their teams and communities in creating greater awareness of the FIRST mission. They provide outstanding contributions to their team while achieving personal technical expertise and accomplishment, creativity and entrepreneurship.
