Terry Krause, Templeton Middle school counselor, was nominated by a co-worker:

8 White would like to nominate Terry Krause for a HIGH FIVE! Terry quickly jumped in to help our team plan an exciting day of team building after our field trip to Camp Minikani was cancelled. He took the time to put together the team building activities and then spent time explaining them to both us and our parent chaperones. He even took charge in helping us keep the flow of the activities going. Thank you, Terry!! We couldn’t have pulled if off without you!

Zack Beckman, Templeton Middle special education teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

Zack has guided our department to make some changes in the way we look at data. Thank you for taking the lead with the assessments and screeners.

Madi Fech, Templeton Middle special services paraprofessional, was nominated by a co-worker:

Madi is new to TMS, but you sure wouldn’t know it. She is a valuable member of our department. Thank you for assisting the students (and staff) with the shift from 6th to 7th grade.

Pawel Skrzypek, Templeton Middle custodial staff member, was nominated by two co-workers:

Pawel has been wonderful this school year! If something needs getting done, Pawel is on it! I appreciate his hard work in my classroom and all the tasks he’s helped me with.

Pawel always goes out of his way to make sure things are done in our classrooms without prompting. He is always friendly and does an awesome job! It is so appreciated!

Kelsey Jasinski, Templeton Middle grade 7 teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

Kelsey has taken on leadership role for the 8th grade math teachers, as well as the entire mathematics department at TMS. I appreciate that she has led discussions and shared her wealth of technological skills with the 8th grade math teachers, and the entire department. We are so fortunate to work with such an amazing colleague.

Tim Kruschel, Templeton Middle grade 7 teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

She has been the “rabbit” for our TMS home cross country meets for the past several years and the kids so greatly appreciate and enjoy her enthusiasm for riding her bike as fast as she can to lead them on the course!

Kathey Lemley, Templeton Middle administrative assistant, was nominated by a co-worker:

Kathey does an amazing job at keeping TMS running smoothly. She is always willing to help the staff. Her knowledge is endless and the staff utilizes her skills throughout the day. Kathey makes TMS function! She deserves to know how much we appreciate all that she does for us. She is truly magical!!!!

Josh Neary, Hamilton High fitness education teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

Josh has been SUPER supportive in reminding all students (my student athletes in particular) that performance on the playing field is dependent on performance in the classroom. He has allowed me to “require” some freshmen football players to attend an after-school algebra session. He also came in (during his prep time) to talk to all students about the importance of grade-point averages and necessary study skills to succeed academically, and he’s volunteered to stop in again.

Angie works collaboratively and positively with students, parents, and staff. In my absence, she provided a bridge of communication that was essential for creating a successful start to the school year. Angie is an invaluable coworker.

Kris Gardipee, Templeton Middle School special education teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

Kris went above and beyond to grow positive climate and culture opportunities for our department at TMS this summer. She provided insight and organization for our many attempts at scheduling and support. Kris is an invaluable colleague!

Zachary Beckman, Templeton Middle School special education teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

A big thank you to Zach for all of his hard work in establishing positive connections with his students throughout this challenging year! He has motivated, communicated and led his students in a way that they were able to understand and appreciate, all while helping students navigate a new building, face the challenges of COVID and prepare for 9th grade – quite a task! Your efforts to connects with students and consistently keep in mind their perspective was invaluable to their success-great job!

Kevin Schein, Hamilton School District groundskeeper, was nominated by a co-worker:

Kevin is always putting the kids first in this district when it comes to getting the grounds ready for any activity that comes his way whether it is painting lines for PE classes, or cutting grass at times he knows kids are not using the areas. He always communicates his intentions with a smile. One time he even shoveled snow off the track at 2:45 pm so that the school could host a track meet that day. Thank you Kevin!

Tom Schlueter, Hamilton High School applied engineering and technology teacher, was nominated by a parent:

Mr. Schlueter has fostered the growth and education of both of my sons for the past 4 years as their Advisement teacher. He has supported them through all the ups and downs of high school and did so with sincerity and humor. Four years ago Mr. Schlueter was a stranger to my two boys and ended up 4 years later performing with them onstage during a choir concert. Those are memories that will forever keep my boys smiling…and singing!

Amber Schroeder, Silver Spring Intermediate School psychologist, was nominated by a co-worker:

Amber is kind, thoughtful, organized, and passionate about her job. She always looks at the whole picture, thinks logically, and shares her expertise with everyone she works with. Amber is very intelligent and knowledgeable in her area of expertise. She always wants what’s best for everyone involved and always gives 100%. She is a team player, very well respected and appreciated.

Lisa Merritt, Silver Spring Intermediate School special education teacher, was nominated by co-workers:

Lisa is a great team member always willing to help out and support her special ed team! Lisa is the first one to volunteer to help. She is a great asset to our team and very much appreciated.

Lisa is an amazing teacher who is constantly working her hardest to help her students and all the staff around her. Her positive attitude, along with her comfortable and relaxed manner, are contagious and put all those around her at ease. She is a true asset to our department and building and I feel extremely blessed to have been able to work with her!!

Kristin Netzel-Muehlenbach, Silver Spring Intermediate School speech pathologist, was nominated by co-workers:

Kristin took on the role of department leader this year and is always striving to make our department better. She brings her positive attitude and her problem solving mindset to all of our meetings and throughout the work week.

The Silver Spring school community is very blessed to have Kristin on their team! She is a tireless and dedicated worker whose experience, knowledge and positive attitude have helped to shape wonderful experiences for the students, families and staff who are lucky enough to work with her. Her hard work in a leadership role has been amazing! Thank you to Kristin for all that she has done for SSI!

Kelly Zellner, Silver Spring Intermediate School fifth grade humanities teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

Kelly has such a calm presence in her classroom. She shows such care and patience for each of her students. She works diligently to provide accommodations that will help students perform to their potential. It is amazing to see the growth many of her students have made this year. She is a masterful teacher. It is always a pleasure working with Kelly. I learn so much from her.

Kathryn Foy, Hamilton School District program support, was nominated by a co-worker:

TMS is very lucky to have access to the support and leadership of Katie. She has vast knowledge and experience and is always eager and willing to jump in to encourage and support anyone in need. She has worked tirelessly throughout this year to help staff, families and students during this unprecedented time. Katie consistently champions individuals strengths and guides our team along in areas of need. We are truly blessed to have Katie on our team!

Lindsey Jacob, Templeton Middle School speech pathologist, was nominated by a co-worker:

TMS is so lucky to have Lindsey on our team! Her professional manner, valuable experience and contagious smile have been a true asset to all of our staff and students. Lindsey’s positive attitude has helped to encourage and shape wonderful experiences for her students and for all the staff that are lucky enough to work with her. Ashley Pfeifer, Templeton Middle School seventh grade teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

Maria Grewe, Templeton Middle School art teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

Maria meets the needs of all her students, emotionally and academically. Not only is she a fabulous art teacher, but she also forms meaningful relationships with each of her students. Maria has been a leader in starting an after school student retention prevention intervention and an advisement group focusing on organization and work completion in order for students struggling in these areas to find academic success. The TMS and SSI communities are lucky to have Maria Grewe on our teams!

Kevin Becker, Hamilton High School custodial night foreman, was nominated by a co-worker:

Not expecting me to show up to work in my classroom, Kevin (and his crew) AMAZINGLY moved in all of the contents of my room AND connected the various cords and cables so that I could work at my computer—and access my desk and files. (And the floors are shiny AND the whiteboards and desks are clean.) KUDOS…AMAZING…
