Lindsay Wiesmueller, Marcy Elementary School special services paraprofessional, was nominated by a co-worker:

I’m so grateful to have Kristin running the eval/initial IEP meetings that I’ve been on. She gets paperwork to the parents ahead of time, and she keeps the meetings conversational so no one is overwhelmed with “special ed speak.” Parents and staff seem to leave her meetings with positive thoughts. Thank you, Kristin!!

Patrick Michael Curtis, Hamilton High School custodial staff member, was nominated by a co-worker:

Paddy does a terrific job. He is always positive. He is attentive to detail. When asked, he is quick to help with any job. Most recently, I needed help, and he was there to assist. The job was done before I came in the next day. Glad to have him on the team.

Maddie Vang, Maple Avenue Elementary School instructional and supervision paraprofessional, was nominated by a co-worker:

Maddie is very responsive to student needs and has fit in well with our third grade team to help all students succeed. She takes on all roles and responsibilities asked of her and shows a natural ability to work with students in different areas.

Sarah advocated for our SSI students to have the opportunity to watch the high school production of Gossamer. What a fantastic show! Sarah’s dedication to the development of students in this district is amazing. We are SO lucky to have her here in Hamilton and we appreciate the inspiration she provides for our 5th and 6th graders!

Devon always steps up to help out- whether to cover a classroom or participate in an extracurricular activity. He always puts kids first and strives to find engaging ways to help them enjoy lifelong fitness!!!

You are doing a great job with our students in Modified PE class and we really appreciate your great attitude and high expectations for them.

Anita Paque, Templeton Middle School library media specialist, was nominated by a co-worker:

Anita put a lot of time and extra effort into planning for our Veteran’s Day parade. She made buttons, purchased bags and candies and put everything together. During the parade she handed out the bags and greeted our visiting vets with a gift, a smile and a big thank you. She loves our veterans and truly cares about the sacrifices they have made.

Michelle Schultz, Silver Spring Intermediate School grade 5 humanities teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

Michelle never ceases to amaze me with the amount of heart and knowledge she puts into her job! It’s so evident how much she truly cares about each of her students, and she is a wonderful advocate for them. Michelle is a life-long learner with a wealth of knowledge with teaching humanities, and she brings an excitement for learning to her classroom. The students and staff at SSI are so lucky to have her as part of our SSI family!

Callie Lauer, Silver Spring Intermediate School grade 5 humanities teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

Let’s face it; everyone knows that Callie Lauer is a rockstar! I have no idea how she balances family life with work, but she makes it look easy! Callie brings strength and passion to SSI, and she builds wonderful relationships with her students. SSI is fortunate to have her!

Tim Christman, Silver Spring Intermediate School grade 5 math & science teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

It’s easy to see that Tim’s students love him as a teacher. Building relationships with his students is his number one goal, and it’s evident that he’s great at this by the number of former students that wait at his door to say hi to him. Tim has a big heart!

Colleen Casper, Silver Spring Intermediate School counselor, was nominated by a co-worker:

Colleen does a wonderful job supporting our fifth grade students at SSI! Whenever we ask for help she is there, and she truly cares about the well-being of our students at SSI. I’m glad she is a part of our SSI team because she makes it a better place!

Kristen is a wonderful teacher and great leader for our 5th grade math/science team. She advocates for both students and teachers and has a genuine desire to innovate and improve our practices for kids. We are grateful for Kristen’s leadership!

Ann Marie is always available to help problem-solve and to have a conversation about a solution. Ann Marie gets excited about resources she has found and is always willing to share. She has every teaching supply you could ever need and helps out when I need it! I have known Ann Marie my entire teaching career and I appreciate her humor and wisdom, her experience, and her commitment to Marcy and to the district.

Katie Kasper, Marcy Elementary School ESL teacher, was nominated by a co-worker:

Katie is an amazing and knowledgeable teacher. She is always wiling to help and join in activities. We enjoy having her as a member of our PLC team and love having her join our classes to support our ELL students. She is one of the most caring staff members. She goes way over and above to connect with families and students.

It has been a delight getting to work with Laura this year. She is energetic and extremely hard working. She is always flexible and thinks outside the box to teach students the math concepts being taught. It has been incredible watching our students start to understand concepts on a deeper level and see their many gains. I feel so grateful to have her positivity in my room each day and to be able to collaborate with her regularly.

Lauren Ullman, Hamilton High School fitness education teacher, was nominated by students:

Ms. Ullmann is a wonderful teacher, she always has a positive attitude. She knows how to make her class so much fun. She is very good at connecting with her students and making them feel cared for.

She is not only a great teacher but she’s also a great role model. She is so caring and easy to talk to. She is also an amazing golf coach.
