Hamilton DECA experiences success at state

Hamilton High School sent 29 DECA members to the March 10-12 Wisconsin DECA State Career Development Conference in Lake Geneva. Hamilton earned 46 awards and qualified 12 members to advance to the international conference.DECA group

The following students were recognized for their success:

  • Maanya Kashyap, second place overall and four medals for marketing communications;
  • Rashmi Majjigapu, third place overall and four medals for business services;
  • Colleen Flynn, third place overall and three medals for principles of business management and administration;
  • Arushi Ranasaria, fifth place overall and three medals for business finance;
  • Sophia Detweiler, fifth place overall and two medals for restaurant and food service management;
  • Dhruv Ahuja, sixth place overall and two medals for personal financial literacy;
  • Elise Elkin, seventh place overall and three medals for principles of hospitality;
  • Margaret Flynn, three medals for restaurant and food service management;
  • Audrey Davies, two medals for principles of finance;
  • Samantha Nelson, two medals for personal financial literacy;
  • Brooke Stanley, two medals for principles of finance;
  • Joshua Dalhgren, one medal for principles of marketing;
  • Ava DeCleene, one medal for principles of marketing;
  • Jason Gahr, one medal for economics excellence;
  • Aayush Iyengar, one medal for human resource management
  • ¬†Ethan Nolan and Jacob Pifher, one medal for financial services; and
  • Arushi Ranasaria and Rashmi Majjigapu, one medal for start-up business plan.

In addition to their competitive success, Arushi Ranasaria and Rashmi Majjigapu were elected to serve as 2020-21 Wisconsin State Officers and will be notified of their positions in the upcoming weeks.

The international conference was cancelled due to recommendations by the World Health Organization.
