Hamilton School Board President Gabe Kolesari was honored Jan. 20-22 at the 2010 Joint State Education Convention in Milwaukee for serving 20 years on the school board. Kolesari received the award from Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) President Victoria McCormick, a school board member for the Greendale School District.

“The character trait of perseverance and dedication demonstrated by this board member is truly remarkable,” McCormick said. “His commitment to quality public schools is one that serves all of us well.”

In addition to his service to his local school district, Kolesari has served as WASB President. The Wisconsin Association of School Boards is a nonprofit association that provides information and services to Wisconsin school boards in the areas of school law and policymaking, collective bargaining, legislation and leadership development.
