Hamilton to present spring choir concert May 29 PDF Print
Tuesday, May 20, 2008 6:00 pm
Community members are invited to enjoy an evening of great music as the Hamilton High School Concert Choir and its a cappella group, Music Over Matter, present their spring concert. The performance begins at 7 p.m. May 29 in the Hamilton Fine Arts Center, W220 N6151 Town Line Road, Sussex.

Coming to the end of a stellar year, the choir will perform a variety of music from classical to jazz and Broadway. Pieces include "Laudamus Te" from Vivaldi's Gloria, "Omnia Sol (Let Your Heart Be Staid)" by Z. Randall Stroope, "Respect" by Aretha Franklin, "You Can't Stop the Beat" from Hairspray, and much more. This isn't your typical choir concert so get ready for something different.

Music Over Matter is an all-female a cappella ensemble that was formed this year. It will perform arrangements of music by Carole King, Abba, Billy Joel and Manhattan Transfer.

Both groups are under the direction of Hamilton High School choral music teacher Marilyn Spiess.
