Kristin Pilo earned first place and a $300 saving bond, and Madison Czerwinksi won second place and a $100 savings bond. The contest was open to all fifth- through eighth-grade students throughout Waukesha County.

In addition to their savings bonds, the students will receive a certificate and their winning entries will be featured in the 2006 full-color, anti-drug calendar sponsored by the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office. Pilo and Czerwinski will be honored at an awards ceremony Nov. 16 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the County Board Room of the Waukesha County Courthouse, 515 W. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha.
