Willow Spring kindergartners support the troops PDF Print
Wednesday, March 29, 2006 6:00 pm
Willow Springs Learning Center’s 4-year-old kindergartners, families and staff are conducting a service project March 27 through April 6 to support American troops in Iraq. Donations are being gathered for the school’s “Let’s Support Our Troops” collection that will be sent to the Task Force 26 Navy Provisional Detainee Battalion in Iraq. The brother of Willow Springs teacher Beth Murphy is in the battalion.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Sussex will help with the school’s service project by packing and mailing the collected items to the battalion. The collection will be delivered April 7 to the VFW Hall.

People who would like to contribute may obtain a list of requested items from the Willow Springs office by calling (262) 255-6190.
