Hamilton varsity bowlers move on to state PDF Print
Monday, February 13, 2006 6:00 pm
The Hamilton High School Varsity Bowling Team will travel to state March 3-5 after finishing first in their conference. Members of the conference championship team are:

  • Samuel Figarino;
  • Marcus Carus,
  • Matthew Korek,
  • Joseph Knueppel,
  • Aaron Syverson,
  • Daniel Michalek; and
  • Brandin Helmers.

Hamilton has four teams with a total of 28 students who represent the school in the Wisconsin High School Bowling League. Along with the boys varsity team are girls varsity and two junior varsity teams.

Because bowling is a “club sport,” the teams rely on fund-raising to cover all expenses. The team had a popcorn sale and a soon-to-be-famous Friday Nigh Fish Fry before a home football game. Another fish fry has been scheduled for Sept. 16.

The volunteer coaches for the Bowling Club are Mark Nihoris, Randy Krajewski, Guy Starz, Joe Sanders and Landon Carus.
