Parents are invited to attend several Get Connected parent sessions in January where they can network with other parents while learning about positive parenting.

Internet safety
Parents of children of any age are invited to learn about the dangers of the Internet and how to protect their children. Eric Szatkowski, a special agent with the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, will present a parents-only program Jan. 11 to help parents keep up with what their children have access to on the Web and provide advice on how to keep them safe. Szatkowski is assigned to the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in Milwaukee. He is one of the nation’s leading undercover officers in apprehending sexual predators who use the Internet to seduce or exploit children.

While children should not attend the Jan. 11 parent session, Szatkowski will return to the district Jan. 18 to speak to all Templeton eighth grade students as part of their Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse unit on safe behaviors and to provide an in-service for staff.
