Templeton Middle School student Elizabeth Cychosz was one of three Wisconsin sixth-graders recognized in the 2005 K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP) and Focus on Energy bookmark contest. Cychosz’s winning bookmark earned her a $50 savings bond and an invitation to an awards ceremony at the State Capitol in Madison. Her bookmark is also posted on the KEEP website at Copies of her bookmark will be duplicated and distributed to Wisconsin schools and libraries. The contest was sponsored by the Wisconsin K-12 Energy Education Program.

This year’s energy theme focused on energy use in school buildings. Students designed eye-catching bookmarks with the theme "Saving Energy: My School First" and asked students to show how they affect energy usage in their school.
