Thursday, March 04, 2004 6:00 pm
Three Hamilton School Board candidates have been invited to participate March 25 in a Candidates' Forum sponsored by parent groups throughout the district. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Large Group Area at Templeton Middle School, N59 W22490 Silver Spring Dr., Sussex.

Challenging Gerald Schmitz for the at-large position in the April 6 Spring Election is Terry Gissal, 20152 W. Good Hope Rd., Lannon. Schmitz lives at N76 W24726 Ridgefield Dr., Sussex. Gabe Kolesari, N66 W24468 Champeny Rd., Sussex, is running unopposed for the position representing the Village of Sussex.

The forum is sponsored by and will be moderated by members of the Marcy Parent-Teacher Association; Maple Avenue, Templeton, Lannon, Willow Springs and Woodside Home & School Associations; and Hamilton Parent Advisory Groups. Candidates will make an opening statement to provide background and qualifications for the board. Next, candidates will respond to questions they will receive in advance of the forum. In addition, people attending the Candidate Forum will have an opportunity to submit questions for all three candidates. Finally, the candidates will make concluding remarks regarding their desire to serve as School Board members.

The forum is free and open to the public.
